Overview

The Crawford Applied Econometrics Reading Group provides a forum for PhD students to present and discuss published articles, working papers, textbook chapters, or their own research in applied econometrics. At each meeting, a PhD student leads the discussion on a specific topic advertised in advance. The goal is to open a discussion on the topic and learn from each other’s areas of interests. Academic staff are invited to attend the presentations, with their participation enriching the discussion.

The reading group provides an opportunity to:
  • Deepen your knowledge about applied econometrics
  • Improve your presentation skills
  • Better understand your fellow students research interests

The Reading Group meets once a fortnight on Fridays from 4 pm - 5 pm, Seminar Room 1, Stanner Building, with the discussions continuing at Fellows, University House.

The Crawford Applied Econometrics Reading Group is organized by Shane Johnson. If you would like to join please contact Shane at shane.johnson@anu.edu.au, or drop by, Room 2.26, W.E.H. Stanner Building #37.
